Support and Care of Refugees
BibleLands works with Project Partners who provide urgent medical care to both desperately poor Egyptians and to the many refugees who have fled into Egypt from Sudan, Somalia and Ethiopia.
BibleLands supports holistic care
programmes that include the treatment of the sick, the screening of pregnant mothers,
the provision of education and training for children, literacy and basic
adult training classes, and the provision of workshops and skills training
centres.
There is no part of the spectrum of need that it faces, that it does not seek to meet. It has even established retail and distribution networks for the beautiful and exquisitely made crafts that are produced by the refugees in wood, metal, paint and cloth, so that they can become increasingly self-sufficient.
