Press Release: 24 January 2006

The Ultimate Non-Fattening Easter Egg!

BibleLands’ 2006 Spring Catalogue is now available, featuring an expanded range of gifts, books and stationery – the ideal way to buy all your Easter presents and help disadvantaged people at the same time! All proceeds go to BibleLands’ 50 Christian-led Project Partners, who work to benefit children and adults facing the challenges of poverty in Israel & The Occupied Territories, Lebanon and Egypt.

The range includes traditional Palestinian crafts, plus gifts from BibleLands’ Project Partner, the Deaf Unit in Cairo. The Deaf Unit provides education and vocational training and support to hearing impaired children and adults, empowering them with the skills they need to work towards an independent future.

New to this years’ Spring Catalogue is the chance to buy a gift with a difference. After the phenomenal success of BibleLands’ Alternative Gifts scheme – which has raised over £50,000 since its launch in November – the Charity has included a “Non-Fattening Easter Egg” among its range of products. For a donation of £9, supporters can provide a whole month of daily school meals for a disadvantaged child at one of the BibleLands-supported schools.
