Volunteering FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
What difference can I make as a volunteer?
Your skills, your time, your network of contacts and your influence on them are all ways in which you, as a volunteer, will make an enormous difference to the lives of the people we seek to help. You can talk to people we don’t yet know, and you can tell them about us.
What will I gain from volunteering with BibleLands?
Whatever your motivation for volunteering with BibleLands we’ll try to meet it. Whether you are seeking to learn new skills or keep existing ones in practice; wanting to gain experience or use your own experience to benefit others; or simply wanting to help a cause you feel passionately about, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are part of a team helping to show Christ’s compassion to the vulnerable and disadvantaged in the lands where once He himself walked.
How long will you want me to remain a volunteer?
We’d like to think that once you have learnt all about our work you will want to stay to tell others about it. How long you remain with us is entirely up to you.
Can I volunteer to work in the UK?
Yes, we have a number of opportunities for volunteers to be speakers or church representatives.
Can I volunteer to work overseas?
In time we hope to develop a programme of short-term volunteering trips. Currently we have one to Egypt available:
