Past Friends Events

On Tuesday 13 April 2010, the Friends of BibleLands' inaugural annual lecture took place at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford at 7.45pm.

Archbishop Elias Chacour, the Melkite Archbishop of Galilee, talked on 'Education for Peace in Israel and Palestine'. To download an audio file of his address click here.

Lambeth Palace

In 2008 the Friends of BibleLands organised a major conference at Lambeth Palace, 'BibleLands: The Christian Presence'. We were addressed by our host, Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Archbishop Paul Sayah, Maronite Archbishop of Haifa and the Holy Land, and Bishop Angaelos, the Coptic Bishop in Britain. Friends have also arranged regional meetings in places such as Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Salisbury. These give supporters an opportunity to meet and hear from BibleLands' Overseas Partners, representing various Christian churches in the Middle East.
