Purchasing our Christmas cards helps children like Bishoy who got a place at the BibleLands-supported El Saray School in Alexandria when his mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Here he receives support for his learning difficulties and has learnt to be positive about life and his future. He plans to join the school’s vocational training programme, giving him a trade through which he will be able to contribute to his family income.		 El Saray School
Bethlehem Unemployment, poverty and violence are everyday experiences in Bethlehem. In the place of Christ’s birth, our partners provide education and training for disabled children and adults, medical care for those who are ill, and schools for children whose families live in poverty.
One of these young people is Jamil, who at the age of 10 saw his mother shot dead. Full of anger and hatred when he joined a BibleLands-sponsored school, he has learnt through their peace education programme that violence is not the answer. He has been given the skills to make good choices.
