What does BibleLands do?
BibleLands is a non-governmental, ecumenical charity supporting Christian-led humanitarian projects in the Middle East. Our overseas partners provide health, education and community development programmes for the most disadvantaged people in the lands of the Bible - regardless of their faith or nationality.
Where does BibleLands work?
Currently BibleLands works in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, in Egypt and in Lebanon, and has over 40 overseas partners in these countries. More detail about where we work can be found here.
How long has BibleLands been working in the Middle East?
BibleLands was set up in 1854 and has worked in many countries in the Middle East, including Turkey, Syria, Egypt, the Balkans, Lebanon, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, Bulgaria and Cyprus in its 150+ years. Currently BibleLands supports projects in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, Lebanon and Egypt.
What makes BibleLands different?
BibleLands has been operating for over 150 years and so have extensive experience and expertise of this region. We are the largest aid provider to the Middle East and work in areas of health, education and community development.
How many overseas partners does BibleLands have?
Currently BibleLands supports over 40 Overseas Partners – 16 in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, 15 in Lebanon and 11 in Egypt. More detail about our overseas Partners can be found here.
Does BibleLands only work with Christians?
BibleLands supports Christian-led local projects but they in turn care for and help all, regardless of faith or nationality.
