Aim to fight poverty and disease and to give disadvantaged people the opportunity to live in dignity, particularly through literacy classes.

Rural village communities, especially women and girls (370 women in 2009)

Founded: 1995

Think & Do fund and resource literacy classes, run by local women, for women and girls in their communities. They are a simple but far-reaching way for women to gain confidence and knowledge that is ultimately beneficial to the whole community.

Other classes and seminars are available on a wide variety of subjects, including child nutrition, prevention and treatment of common diseases, family planning, breast cancer awareness, food hygiene and other practical topics relevant to everyday life.
